Tonsillitis

I remember a couple years back going with Mom to the public health here in town because of her having a pretty bad sore throat. I went with her so she could get a strep test, and when the 5 minute test proved that there was no sign of strep, mom looked at the nurse and said "well, i have been thinking maybe i have tonsillitis..." The nurse decided she would take a look with a flashlight just to see if she could see any signs that would prove this. While looking, the nurse paused "uh. Janis, do you even have your tonsils anymore?" Laughing my mom then realized, oh yea she had gotten them removed years ago. So much for the tonsillitis theory!
