Boiling Over

When I was a young teen, I would babysit a couple boys (Colby and Eric Holtzclaw) down the road from our house. They were sweet kids and it was a lot of fun.

As a babysitter, I was sometimes expected to make lunch. I knew how to cook, but I wasn't very experienced at it.

I remember one time I was making macaroni and cheese and the water started boiling over. I had never had this happen before, and I completely panicked. I took the pan off of the burner and tossed the entire contents down the garbage disposal. I don't know what I was thinking. I guess I thought the meal was ruined because it had boiled over.
