I remember when Karen was about 7 0r 8 years old. Skaris lived across the street in mondozas house. One day while Karen was playing over at their house, I just happened to look out the window as Karen was walking across the street coming home. She was walking slowly and seemed absorbed in something she was carrying. (Karen, you probably remember this and can fill in the parts I dont remember very well) anyway, I watched her walk slowly across the street. she was thoughly fasinated with what I found out when she got home was a pretty butterfly! As Karen came in the door, she had me look at the pretty butterfly that had landed on her. After we chatted a awhile about her butterfly, Karen volunteered some very important information, she said something to the effect of: By the way mommy, Karen Skari said I was to hurry home and tell you to come over and help her, cause a rattlesnake has her trapped up against the fence in her backyard!!!!!! As I think about this, it is just the funniest thing how my little Karen knowing about the rattlesnake and everything just got so sidetracked with her beautiful butterfly!
Our Memories
This is a place for our family to log our memories and our comments on those memories. Some day, we will print this out so we can each have a copy of our Family Journal.

Tonsillitis
I remember a couple years back going with Mom to the public health here in town because of her having a pretty bad sore throat. I went with her so she could get a strep test, and when the 5 minute test proved that there was no sign of strep, mom looked at the nurse and said "well, i have been thinking maybe i have tonsillitis..." The nurse decided she would take a look with a flashlight just to see if she could see any signs that would prove this. While looking, the nurse paused "uh. Janis, do you even have your tonsils anymore?" Laughing my mom then realized, oh yea she had gotten them removed years ago. So much for the tonsillitis theory!
